The period surrounding the birth of a child is full of emotion and emotion. In addition to the Parents' joy at their new role, it is important to keep in mind the official issues concerning the family member yet to come. What formalities need to be completed after delivery?

Formalities after childbirth-what, how and when to arrange?

Most often, the postpartum formalities are handled by Dad while Mom and baby are still lying in the maternity ward. Nowadays, most things can be done online using a trusted profile. According to the current law, Parents have 21 days from receipt of the birth card to report the birth to the Registry Office. Once the document is delivered, the child will receive a birth certificate, a PESEL number, and a certificate of registration may be issued.  To do all this, it is necessary to choose a name for the child at the very beginning. If the Parents do not manage to register the newborn within 21 days, the clerk chooses the name himself, usually using the currently most popular ones. Interestingly, Parents can change the name within 6 months.

Within 7 days of being assigned a PESEL number, Parents must report their child for insurance. In most cases, notification is made to your employer, or in the case of your own business to the Social Security Administration, using the ZCNA form. It is necessary to notify the employer of the birth of a child, not only for insurance reasons. This is because the company submits the information to the Social Security and this forms the basis for receiving benefits during maternity leave.

Postpartum formalities also include enrolling the child in a clinic. This allows for patronage visits by the pediatrician, as well as visits for, among other things. vaccinating the toddler. It is best to look for a suitable clinic even before the birth. Most Parents look for a facility close to where they live, but for many people the opinions of friends or other Parents are also important, as well as the ease of making an appointment to see a pediatrician at a particular clinic.

Formalities after childbirth-what benefits are available after childbirth?

Formalities after childbirth-what do you need to remember?

Not everyone is aware that the birth of a child must be reported to the registry office appropriate to the place where the child is born, i.e. the city where the hospital is located.

If the parents are not married, and the dad wants to take care of the formalities after the birth, it’s a good idea to file an acknowledgment of paternity with the Office beforehand. It must be confirmed by the child’s mother. This will allow dad to report the birth and handle all official matters after the birth.

Many Parents are wondering what name they can choose for their child. According to Polish law, you can give a child a maximum of 2 names, which must not be ridiculous. The diminutive form cannot be used either. In turn, foreign and gender-neutral names can be used. If the official refuses to give the name chosen by the Parents, it is possible to appeal his decision to the relevant governor.
