How to prepare for childbirth so that it goes without complications? The most common method is to attend classes at a birthing school, teaching not only proper Kegel muscle exercises, but also breathing techniques.

Very important for a pregnant woman is how to prepare for childbirth. There is no doubt that one of the most important issues during labor is pushing. In order to make pushing the baby out of a woman’s reproductive tract smooth and less painful, the pelvic floor muscles – commonly known as Kegel muscles – must be strong, flexible and resistant to injury. It turns out that this prevents the perineum from rupturing during labor.

Preparing the body for pregnancy

Awareness of a well-groomed body is important for a woman in labor. Confidence and comfort appropriate preparation of the body for pregnancy including beauty treatments, massages or aromatherapy. A visit to a hairdresser, beautician or massage therapist is ideal for the first trimester. Only hair coloring, tattooing or invasive aesthetic medicine procedures are not recommended. Before the actual delivery, it is recommended to depilate the bikini area so that the parturient feels more hygienic comfort.

Preparing for natural childbirth

The birthing school is a good idea to solve the nagging problem of how to prepare for natural childbirth. This is especially important for first-born women who have no experience of how to push properly and how to breathe during labor. In addition to physical exercise, birthing school classes also include theory: how to recognize that labor has begun, what are the stages of labor, what anesthesia to choose and when, how to take care of the body and mind during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Psychologically, it’s a good idea to go there with a partner who will not only support the mother of her child in these stressful moments, but will also have the opportunity to find out for himself what he may experience while in labor. In order to know how to prepare for childbirth, it will be necessary to systematically exercise from the second trimester of pregnancy. However, not all pregnant women choose to enroll in a facility that teaches childbirth. So how do you prepare for childbirth without a birthing school? Just because a mom-to-be doesn’t attend birthing school doesn’t mean she won’t be able to cope during childbirth. A dozen years ago, no one had heard of birthing classes, yet babies were coming into the world without a problem. It is important to read a lot and listen to the opinions of experienced mothers, as well as to do pelvic floor and breathing exercises at home. However, if doubts arise along the way, consult your health care provider immediately.

Preparation for cesarean section

How to prepare for a C-section? When a cesarean section is imminent, it’s worth remembering a few things to hold yourself back from. It is important to appear in the delivery room on an empty stomach – about 6 hours before the C-section procedure.  Giving birth by this method does not involve as much preparation as giving birth by force of nature.

Every woman has her own theory on how to prepare for the birth of a child. A fully equipped room for the baby, clothes and toiletries are, of course, a must. However, that’s not all. Many mothers are concerned about whether they will be able to take care of their infant in its first months of life. Fear and apprehension is a natural emotion that accompanies a newly minted mother.
