Sources from which cells are obtained

Cord blood

secured in each variant of the banking service.
It is a source of hematopoietic stem cells, which are used in the treatment of 80 oncological and hematological diseases.

Stem cell transplants from cord blood are reimbursed by the National Health Service.

Umbilical cord

Umbilical cord cells are also called Wharton’s jelly cells.
This is a specific tissue that surrounds the umbilical cord vessels.It is the source of mesenchymal stem cells.
They have the ability to create several types of cells, such as cartilage cells, bone cells.
For several years, these cells have given hope for effective applications in various fields of medicine, especially in regenerative medicine.

Placenta

Like the umbilical cord, it contains tissue stem cells.
Securing both materials makes it possible to enhance the transplantation potential of stem cells in the event of treatment.
It’s also maximizing the number of cells that can be harvested, and therefore obtaining a higher dose of the therapeutic product.

Can I choose any banking option?
The option you can choose depends on the results of the medical questionnaire you have completed. In some cases, there are certain limitations to the possibility of securing all or selected biological materials due to the health of parents or family medical histories. Our medical consultants will be happy to verify your questionnaire and help you gain knowledge about the service options available to you.
Which service option should I choose if I want to protect the whole family?
Our most extensive protection option is the Platinum option, in which, in addition to blood-forming stem cells from umbilical cord blood, you will also protect cells from the umbilical cord and placenta. Tissue cells found in the umbilical cord and placenta can be used in therapy for your entire family, including grandparents.
