It is a gesture that shows many moms-to-be that the sacrifices they make for the sake of their child are shared. In addition, experts recommend that the partner be present during pregnancy visits, ultrasound examinations and actively accompany the woman throughout the nine months of pregnancy.

Physical support

The more advanced the pregnancy, the more difficult it is for the mother-to-be to perform all sorts of daily activities. Cooking, carrying groceries, cleaning or ironing can be quite a challenge for a pregnant woman during these 9 months. The man, if possible, should try  to assist his partner in daily chores. It is also extremely important at the very beginning of pregnancy, when many women are bothered by discomforts such as nausea, vomiting or excessive fatigue and lethargy. Many moms-to-be, especially in the last weeks of pregnancy, have trouble tying their shoes, painting their toenails or epilating. In such situations, a partner’s support can prove invaluable. Many couples also choose to attend birthing school. Joint activities deepen the bond between partners, and the skills acquired play a very important role during the birth itself, in which the support and involvement of the partner is extremely important for the parturient.

Partner’s support during childbirth

Many women in labor choose to have a family birth and wish to give birth in the presence of a partner. To prepare well for this day, it is advisable to take advantage of birthing school classes or special perinatal courses. They make the cooperation of Parents during childbirth more effective.
