Dear Parents Expecting a Child,
You are probably anxiously following reports on the current situation and wondering how much your labor will be affected.

What we know for sure is that unlike other important dates, childbirth is one that cannot be postponed. It is also the only opportunity in your child’s life to secure cord blood for him or her for the future. Therefore, let this temporary situation, not affect important decisions that will project into the future. The state of the epidemiological emergency does not currently affect in any way the possibility of collecting cord blood.

Below we tell you about some of the changes we have made to further  increase the security and stability of our work with the priceless material you entrust to us:

• Every kit that arrives to us from the delivery room is disinfected before opening,
• Blood is tested and prepared in smaller teams,
• We take an hour break between shifts to disinfect the lab,
• employees who do not physically need to be present in the laboratory work from home,
• we made the necessary supplies of materials so that we would not run out of masks, gloves, disinfectants,
• we made the necessary supplies so that we would not run out of the preparations needed to study and prepare the preparation for freezing,
• in case of unforeseen power failures, our laboratory has its own generators moreover, cryostats maintain their temperature for a period of min. 2 weeks, and after that time we can supplement nitrogen manually.

Take care of yourself during this special time, follow the recommendations of the WHO and the Ministry of Health, and focus on the beautiful moments ahead.

We, on the other hand, take all necessary steps to ensure that your children’s stem cells are quickly and safely transferred to freezing cassettes.
