Free drugs during pregnancy – which ones?
The list of free drugs is available on the Health Ministry’s website. Among them, the most common drugs used by mothers-to-be are available. The groups covered by full reimbursement include anticoagulants, drugs used to treat pregnancy cholestasis or hypothyroidism. Free medication during pregnancy – who is eligible?
According to information that can be obtained from the National Health Service, free medication for a pregnant woman is available from the determination of pregnancy until 15 days after the due date. Pregnancy must be confirmed by a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, a doctor in the course of specialization, thus a resident, or a primary care midwife from an obstetrics and gynecology clinic. Interestingly, a pregnant woman is entitled to free medication during pregnancy regardless of whether she is insured or not.
